Traveller’s Bell Charm

CARRY

A small bell charm for safe errands, clear paths, and gentle warning when you are moving through unfamiliar places.

Traveller’s Bell Charm sketch

Best made with a tiny bell, a ribbon, and a sprig of rosemary or lavender. It need not be loud — even a soft bell remembers how to call you back to yourself.

✧ What it’s for

Use this charm before travelling, shopping, visiting somewhere new, or walking into a place where you want your senses gently awake.

It is not meant to frighten anything away. It is a small companion for awareness, luck, and a safe return.

✧ What you’ll need

  • A small bell or bell charm
  • A piece of ribbon, thread, or cord
  • Optional: rosemary, lavender, bay, or a tiny bead
  • A pocket, bag, keyring, or coat loop to carry it with you

✧ The small working

  1. Hold the bell in your palm and take one slow breath.
  2. Tie the ribbon or thread around it with care.
  3. If using herbs, tuck them close to the knot.
  4. Ring the bell once, softly, and say: “Wake the way before me.”
  5. Ring it again and say: “Keep my steps kindly.”
  6. Ring it a final time and say: “Bring me safely home.”

✧ Carrying it

Keep the bell somewhere it can move a little — on a bag, keyring, coat zip, or tucked into a pocket.

When you hear it, let it remind you to pause, look around, and trust the quiet wisdom of your own senses.
