When to use

When you need a path to reveal itself, a decision to move, or a next step to become clearer. This is a good spell for crossroads, job searches, applications, waiting periods, and gentle turning points.

You will need

• A small square or rectangular piece of paper
• A pen
• A candle in white, cream, soft gold, or honey
• Optional: a bay leaf, a little cinnamon, or a key charm
• Optional: a window, doorway, or place where roads can be imagined opening outward

Preparation

Sit quietly and think about the road ahead. You do not need every answer. You only need to name what you are asking to open, move, or come into clearer view.

Write your petition in one simple sentence, such as “May the right path unfold before me” or “I welcome the next clear and kind step.”

How to work it

1. Place the paper before you and read your petition aloud once, slowly and with care.
2. Fold the paper toward you once to draw the road nearer, then turn it and fold it again to gather the wish into focus.
3. If you are using a bay leaf, charm, or pinch of cinnamon, place it with the folded paper or rest it on top for a moment as you speak the petition again.
4. Light the candle and hold the folded petition near the warmth of the flame — not in it — as though letting it awaken.
5. Say aloud three times: “The road unfolds in the right way, at the right time, for my good.”
6. Keep the folded petition in a pocket, under a candle holder, beneath a small dish, or near your door until movement begins.
